A Bridge Between Growing Regions and Different Cultures

DuPont’s presence in Turkey dates to the late 1950s and early 1960s with the company’s local agents and technical consultants in two major cities, Istanbul and Izmir.  Starting with its partnership in the polyester and nylon businesses with Turkish industrial giant Sabanci Holding in the 1980s, DuPont Turkey has been pursuing an active industry-focused strategy to connect with its customers and be a partner of choice for the key sectors. Major growth initiatives focus on the agriculture & nutrition, building & construction, and automotive industries.

Turkey, Middle East & North Africa regional headquarters are located in Istanbul. DuPont Turkey now has more than 200 employees.

DuPont has a production facility in Gebze for DuPont Performance Coatings, offering high-technology automotive paints/coatings.  Pioneer Hi-Bred has seed production facilities in Adana, as well as a sunflower improvement and research center in the Ahmetbey Borough of Lüleburgaz in Thrace.

In 2006, DuPont Packaging Graphics Turkey launched a Customer Technology Center at Marmara University of Istanbul in partnership with the Printing Education Department of the Technical Education Faculty.   For the last three years, DuPont Turkey has sponsored the only science summer camp in Turkey, in cooperation with the Turkey Science Association.
