Jeff Gordon and the No. 24 team looked forward to competing in the NASCAR Sprint Cup race at the Talladega, Ala., Superspeedway on Sunday. The race was No. 33 in this season’s 36-race schedule. Jeff’s Talladega statistics going into the race were: 33 starts, 6 wins, 1 pole, 13 top-fives and 16 top-10s.

“This has been a great track for us,” Jeff said before the race.  “It’s pretty ‘white-knuckle’ out there for the drivers. I think it’s a heck of a show for the fans. You can go from fifth to first on the last lap. You can go from first to 15th on the last lap, so you’ve got to race a bit different.”

On Sunday, Jeff entered the race third in the standings, 150 points behind leader Jimmie Johnson.  How did he do? Click here for race results.
