DuPont employees launch Velpar® in India.

DuPont™ Velpar® herbicide is a weed control solution that targets more than 20 types of weeds for sugarcane. Other solutions only control about four to five different types of weeds.

"This is an exciting time in agriculture globally.  There had not been a product in the last 10 years or so that has been created specially to serve the weed control needs of sugarcane growers. Now, the sugar cane crop will benefit immensely with this innovative, high performance product," said L. Giridharan, national marketing manager, Crop Protection Products.

DuPont™ Londax® Power™ -- a unique granular herbicide for broad-spectrum weed control in rice crops -- allows it to be used not only alone but also along with sand and fertilizer in the rice fields.
