Solae hosted world leaders in the food and health industry as part of a biotech immersion course.

The tour was part of an “AgBiotech Immersion” course for international, mid-level ministers, sponsored by the University of Missouri with a grant from the United Soybean Board.  These ministers visited from Africa, Europe and Asia, and came to Solae to learn how companies research and develop products using biotechnology.

“This was a great opportunity for Solae to educate industry leaders about our company, our technology and innovation, and soy nutrition and health, as well as showcase our state-of-the-art facility,” said Phil Kerr, senior director, technology and innovation, Solae. “We were honored to be part of this course among other top companies in St. Louis.”

Kenneth Schneeberger, Illinois-Missouri Biotechnology Alliance (IMBA) program manager and assistant dean in the College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources at University of Missouri, said the group “could not be more pleased with their visit to Solae.  It exceeded expectations.”
