Following a 15th-place finish in New Hampshire on Sept. 20, Jeff Gordon had additional pressure going into Sunday’s race at Dover International Speedway in Dover, Del.

"We were really hoping to come out of the gate with a stronger performance at New Hampshire," said Jeff, who was 10th in the standings and 102 points behind leader Mark Martin before the Dover race. "That's a lot of points to make up, but we have to try to rebound this weekend at Dover.

"It's certainly going to be tough to get ourselves back into the thick of the battle, but there are still some strong tracks for us remaining and we have to make the most of them," said Jeff.
