Mark P. Vergnano Named Vice President and General Manager DuPont Nonwovens

Vergnano, 45, joined DuPont in 1980 as a process engineer in the former DuPont Fibers Department and has since held a number of manufacturing, technical, marketing and business assignments in the DuPont Nonwovens businesses. In 1993, Vergnano relocated to Geneva, Switzerland, where he was named European regional business manager, DuPont Nonwovens, responsible for Tyvek®, Typar® and Sontara® business activities. In 1996 he returned to Richmond, first as global business manager DuPont Teflon® fiber and then as global business director DuPont Nomex®. Vergnano was appointed global business director for Tyvek® and Typar® in Wilmington, Del., in 2001.
He replaces Keith R. McLoughlin who is no longer with the company.
Vergnano holds a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from the University of Connecticut and a master's degree in business administration from Virginia Commonwealth University.
