DuPont applauds Chairmen Waxman and Markey for advancing their recent discussion draft of climate change legislation. Climate change is a real and pressing issue and their effort brings our goal of rapid enactment of environmentally effective and economically sound action on climate one step closer. We appreciate both the breadth of their thinking, and their openness to broad input and discussion of this draft before proceeding to legislative action. While there are many details to sort through, we believe the draft lays out a sound framework, and we look forward to working with Chairmen Waxman and Markey and their colleagues in the House and Senate on this important issue.
