Welcome to DuPont Methylamines Methylamines are used as raw materials to synthesize many diverse chemical intermediates used to improve or manufacture items that come into people's lives each day. They are clear, colorless gases available as liquefied compressed gas or as aqueous solutions. Methylamines are extremely flammable and can cause chemical burns to the eyes and skin. Vapors are extremely irritating to the nose, throat, lungs, skin, and eyes.
