Tychem® Responder® CSM

For quicker reference, a listing of all questions is given first, followed by questions and answers together.

  1. How does Responder® CSM differ from commercial Responder®?

The difference is in the CSM qualification. The Army has a long standing practice of conducting material qualification and acceptance testing with chemical warfare agents in order to assure continuous knowledge that the required level of safety in a chemical warfare agent environment is being provided for users. This philosophy is the basis for DuPont's chemical warfare agent qualification testing of Responder? fabric roll goods and Responder? CSM suit lots. Accordingly, the essence of DuPont's QA/QC (quality assurance/quality control) process is that each roll of fabric from which suits are to be manufactured must be subjected to chemical warfare agent qualification testing and also that one suit from lot of fabricated suits must be chemical warfare tested prior to delivery to the user.   Go to top
