  1. Will the Tempro® fabric burn?

    Yes, under direct flame impingement, the Tempro® fabric will burn. When the flame is removed, the fabric will self-extinguish.   Go to top



  2. Can Tempro® be used as primary, thermal protective garments?

    No, garments made of Tempro® are not substitutes for primary thermal protective garments made of inherently flame resistant materials such DuPont™ NOMEX® brand fiber. Garments made of Tempro® protect workers by preserving the maximum insulating capacity of primary thermal protective garments, while providing a barrier to other non-thermal contaminants.   Go to top



  3. Can Tempro® garments be laundered?

    Tempro® garments are limited use garments and are not intended to be laundered and reused.   Go to top



  4. How much chemical protection will Tempro® garments provide?

    Tempro® garments are not suitable for liquid or dry chemical protection.   Go to top



  5. Is it possible to wash Tempro® garments?

    Tempro® garments are inexpensive and designed to be disposed of, thus DuPont does not recommend washing. DuPont has no performance testing to support washing of garments.  Go to top



  6. May Tempro® be recycled?

    DuPont has not conducted any studies on recycling Tempro® garments at this time.   Go to top



  7. How long may Tempro® garments be used before discarding?

    All Tempro® garments are designed for limited-use; the actual use time will vary depending on contamination, work conditions and hazards present.   Go to top
