Awards & Prizes
Award winners will receive industry recognition for their innovation, through publicity in trade press. Winners will be recognised at the Awards presentation in May 2008 in Sydney, where they will be presented with a trophy. A showcase of winning innovations will also be displayed on the DuPont Innovation Awards website.
Eligibility
The Awards recognise a single business, collaboration or tertiary student from Australia or New Zealand, that has developed an innovative product, technology or service from any industry, first ordered and/or adopted for commercial use in Australia or New Zealand between January 1, 2004 and November 2, 2007.
The DuPont Innovation Awards recognises the introduction of something new; a new idea, method, technology, application, product or service that:
- Improves Australia and/or New Zealand's competitiveness
- Illustrates Australia and/or New Zealand's innovative spirit
- Demonstrates tenacity i.e.: having been sustained against all difficulties; was challenging, demanding or complex
- Improves Environmental Sustainability
Judging
Entries will be judged by a panel of independent experts, representative of a variety of industries and academia.
All entries will be specifically judged on the following criteria:
1. Degree of Innovation
2. Scope of Application (Current and Potential)
3. Commercial Significance and Benefit (Current and Potential)
4. Degree of Collaboration
5. Environmental Sustainability
6. Executive Summary
Judging will focus on the entrant's answers to the entry questions contained on the Entry Form together with any relevant supplementary material to support your entry. When submitting your entry, each question must be answered separately with consideration to the points under each question. The entry must be completed in less than 2,000 words.
How to Enter
Entry forms can be downloaded from this website. The completed application must be saved onto a CD and posted or delivered to:

All posted entries MUST include:
1. CD containing the completed Entry Form and word document answering all entry questions.
2. 1 x Hard copy of the fully completed Entry Form (as above).
3. Image/s of your innovation to support your entry saved as high-resolution (300dpi) JPG or TIFF file saved onto CD.
NB: Entries may also include DVD's showing video demonstration/s of the innovation may also be included. Where available, samples of the innovation may be sent with the entry.
