Executive Biography
Ms. Brydon’s career with DuPont began in 1987 when she joined the Fluoroproducts business as a Customer Service Representative. In 1988 she became a Sales Representative for the Fluoroproducts business. Four years later, Ms. Brydon continued her career in sales, joining the Specialty Chemicals business, serving customers across a broad range of industrial manufacturing applications. In 1995 she was appointed Customer Service and Regulatory Manager for the Specialty Chemicals and White Pigments businesses.
In January 1999, Ms. Brydon joined Research and Business Development, as Business Development Specialist, with a focus on strategy development for new growth projects. In 2000 she was appointed to lead DuPont’s new Social Innovation initiative which resulted in the formation of a strategic partnership with the Ontario Science Centre, and a collaborative research program with McGill University which led to a ground-breaking book on Social Innovation entitled, Getting to Maybe.
In 2004 Ms. Brydon was appointed Manager Corporate Operations and earned certification as a Six Sigma Black Belt through her work in improving business support services. She was named to her current role in early 2008.
Ms. Brydon is a graduate of Queen’s University with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Chemical Engineering. She currently lives in Oakville, Ontario with her husband.
