Executive Biography
Thor Cruse is Business Director for DuPont Crop Protection and has responsibility for the DuPont Canada Crop Protection Business. His career with DuPont began in 1985, where he has held various marketing and sales positions, particularly related to cereal and horticultural products.
In 1988, Mr. Cruse was transferred to Rotorua, New Zealand as Territory Sales Manager and was responsible for the forestry herbicide business for crop protection. In 1991 Mr. Cruse was transferred back to DuPont (Australia) as District Manager for South Australia, focusing on cereal and legume herbicides.
In 1994 Mr. Cruse became the District Manager for Victoria, South Australia & Tasmania. Three years later he was promoted to National Sales Manager for all of Australia.
In 2002 Mr. Cruse held the position of Sales & Marketing Manager for Australia & New Zealand. Mr. Cruse became the Business Director for DuPont Crop Protection in Australia and New Zealand two years later and held that position until he came to Canada in his current assignment, in July 2005.
Mr. Cruse was born in Australia and graduated from Queensland University, Australia with a Bachelor of Agricultural Science (Rural Technology). He also completed a Graduate Diploma in Agri-Business from Monash University, Australia.
Mr. Cruse is married to his wife Helen and has three daughters, Kiki, Sally & Liesl.
