Mr. Foster joined DuPont in 1980 as a process engineer at the Whitby, Ontario manufacturing facility. He held several positions in the former DuPont Packaging business including Sales & Marketing Representative for Packaging and Industrial Performance Films, Production Manager, and Technical & Engineering Manager.
In 1996 Mr. Foster moved to the Ajax, Ontario, DuPont Performance Coatings plant and served as Operations Manager and later Plant Manager until 1999 when Mr. Foster joined the subsidiary Enhance Packaging business as Vice President of Human Resources. In 2001 became the Vice President of Operations for Enhance. Following the acquisition of Liqui-Box and the creation of the DuPont Liquid Packaging Systems (DLPS) business, he became the regional Operations Director for Liqui-Box Canada.
In 2004, Mr. Foster was appointed Asset Productivity leader and Six Sigma Champion for the DLPS business and was appointed interim Plant Manager for the Sacramento, California, DuPont Liquid Packaging Systems (DLPS) facility in 2005. In 2006, he was appointed Organizational Development and Information Technology Leader for the Global DLPS organization before becoming Global Operations Director for DLPS in 2008.
In 2009 he was assigned as a Deployment Champion for the DuPont Production System (DPS) effort, working across North American plants on the implementation of the TRACC Business Improvement tool, in addition to working directly with the Sulfuric Acid business as DPS Champion for that network of sites.
Mr. Foster holds a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Queen’s University, Kingston.
