Executive Biography
Lynne M. Manuel is the regional Six Sigma Champion for DuPont Canada. Additionally, she has responsibility as a Manager at DuPont Canada’s Research and Development facility, located in Kingston Ontario.
Ms. Manuel joined DuPont in 1981 as a Researcher at the Kingston Research and Development Centre. She then held a number of technical positions in the Nylon, Polyethylene, and business development. In 1994, she became an R&D Manager in Kingston.
In 1995 Ms. Manuel elected to pursue her career elsewhere. For six years, she worked for Nova Chemicals, in Pittsburgh, USA, in a variety of marketing, business, and technical roles, where she assumed the role of VP Polyethylene (SCLAIR and HDPE) and later, VP Technology, Styrenics.
In 2001, her career led her back to DuPont Canada, where Ms. Manuel returned to the Research and Development Centre in Kingston and assumed the role of R&D Manager. She has worked extensively with Liquid Packaging and P&IP, and currently leads the Technology Leadership Team responsible for overall operations at the Kingston facility.
Ms. Manuel is Six Sigma Green Belt Certified and completed Six Sigma Black Belt training in May 2006. She was named to her current regional Six Sigma Champion role in April 2006.
Born in Canada, Ms. Manuel graduated from McMaster University with a degree in Engineering Physics.
Ms. Manuel resides in Kingston with her daughter.
