CareCancer Society is currently serving 120 cancer patients with majority being the elderly.
With the request of sponsorship, DuPont Singapore helps CareCancer Society to establish a Multi-Media Resource Center, at its premises through the use of DuPont Community Fund. The Center will serve as a place for education such as health talks and hospice training courses. It will also double up as a counseling area and serve cancer patients with music therapy sessions.
Mr Chan Soo Sen (Minister of State, Ministry of Education, Member of Parliament), graced the opening ceremony of the center with words of encouragement and pledging his support to the success of CareCancer Society. He sited that cancer is highly ranked as a deadly illness in Singapore and he is pleased to see DuPont, a corporate body reaching out and support such a good cause in giving back to the community.
