Forum to mark DuPont Thailand Innovation Center Second Anniversary

On the occasions of the 2nd anniversary of DuPont Thailand Innovation Center and the Thailand  visit of Dr. Douglas Muzyka, DuPont Senior Vice President and Chief Science and Technology Officer, DuPont Thailand organized “DuPont Innovation Day” with the topic “Sustainable Market-Driven Innovation” on Friday 16 August, 2013 at DuPont Thailand Innovation Center, 12th Fl, Chamchuri Square, PhayaThai Rd.

It was a keynote speaking event whereby Dr. Douglas Muzyka, DuPont Senior Vice President and Chief Science & Technology Officer, delivered a keynote presentation on Sustainable Market-Driven Innovation – R&D to Commercialization“  together witha speech by Dr.Thaweesak Koanantakool, Acting Executive Vice President of National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) on “Innovation Development to Meet Industries’ Needs” and Mr. Chalor Panutrakul, R&D Executive Vice President, IRPC Public Company Limited, on “IRPC Innovation: Success and Best Practices”.

The event was participated by over 100 executives of DuPont’s customer companies who are keen in innovation, R&D, operations, market development from various industries, as well as government officials and academia. It was a great opportunity to exchange views and experiences on driving innovation to meet market needs.

Speaking at the DuPont Innovation Forum here, Dr Douglas Muzyka underscored the importance of the role of DuPont’s integrated science in solving some of the world’s greatest challenges. Since opening in August 2011, interactions at the Thailand Center have generated more than 100 new ideas and projects and welcomed over 1,500 visitors from over 300 organizations.  The second anniversary celebration also recognized the important progress that we have made through inclusive innovation to bring many new solutions to the marketplace.

The DuPont Thailand Innovation Center focuses on three markets: Agriculture and Food, Automotive, and Construction. It is one of 12 DuPont innovation centers which enable the company to customize products and form partnerships and collaborations with academia, governments and other institutions around the world. The centers are part of the DuPont Global Collaboratory, which enables collaboration among our customers, partners and more than 10,000 DuPont scientists and engineers across the globe located in over 150 research laboratories and application development centers. In addition to the Thailand Innovation Center, DuPont has recently opened other Innovation Centers in Brazil, India, Mexico, Japan, Korea, Russia, Switzerland, Taiwan, Turkey, and the United States.
