Ferdinand Bauerdick Vice President - DuPont Performance Coatings - Regional Integration

Ferdinand Bauerdick is vice president - DuPont Performance Coatings - Regional Integration. He joined DuPont in 1974 as a process engineer for Dacron® fibers at the Uentrop plant in Germany.

From 1976-'82, Mr. Bauerdick held several sales and marketing positions for Engineering Polymers in Germany. He led the Bexloy® Venture Group from 1983-'87 for Europe and Asia. From 1988-'98 he held various European leadership positions in Engineering Polymers, Packaging & Industrial Polymers and Nylon Fibers. In 1998, he relocated to Wilmington, Del., and was named global business director - Engineering Polymers. He served on joint venture boards in France, Germany, Turkey, Japan and China. In April 2006 he was named vice president and general manager of DuPont Industrial Coatings and DuPont Performance Coatings Europe. He was named to his current position in November 2009.

Born in Arnsberg, Germany, Mr. Bauerdick graduated from RWTH Aachen with a master's degree in Mechanical Engineering and Polymer Science.
