Cynthia C. Green is vice president - DuPont Corporate Marketing & Sales and chief marketing and sales officer. She joined DuPont in 1979 as a research and development engineer at the Memphis, Tenn., plant, followed by assignments in marketing in Wilmington, Del., from 1982 to 1987.
In 1988 through 1990 she was a district sales manager in Chicago, Il. In 1990, she became assistant plant manager of a pigments plant in Wilmington, Del.
Following that role, Ms. Green was one of the first three Six Sigma Champions in DuPont, and then held a variety of business management positions over the next 10 years as business manager of Specialty Materials, business manager of Fluorotelomers, then global business director of Specialty Chemicals. She joined DuPont Fluoroproducts in 2003 as global business director of Fluoropolymer Solutions. In March 2006 she was named vice president of DuPont Fluoroproducts. She was named president of DuPont Fluoroproducts in October 2009. She was named to her current position in November 2009.
Ms. Green obtained a bachelor of science in Chemical Engineering from Auburn University in 1979 with post graduate work in Math and Physics.
She is active in several trade associations, including SPI (Society of Plastics Institute), where she is an executive board member. She is also member of SWE (Society of Women Engineers) and is active in the United Way of Delaware.
