John G. McCool is vice president - DuPont Performance Coatings, Europe, Middle East, Africa (EMEA). He joined DuPont in 1976 in the Accounting & Business Analysis Division of Textile Fibers Department in Wilmington, Del.
From 1980 to 1991 he held a variety of manufacturing assignments in the Textile Fibers Department in Seaford, Del.
In 1991 he was named manufacturing superintendent for DuPont™ Cronar® films in Brevard, N.C. He then became global business manager in 1993 for the same business. In 1997 he was named director for DuPont Power in Wilmington, Del., with overall responsibility for developing corporate energy strategy. From 2000 to 2002 he served as Six Sigma Champion for Global Sourcing and Logistics. In 2002 Mr. McCool became global business director for the DuPont Fluorochemicals business. In May 2006 he was named vice president and general manager of DuPont Refinish Systems. He was named to his current position in October 2009.
He earned a bachelor of science degree in Accounting from the University of Delaware in 1975. In 1984, he earned a master of business administration from the Wilmington College. In 2006, he earned a Kellogg Executive Scholar degree from Kellogg School of Management.
