Montri Simagrai

Montri Simagrai is Managing Director of Du Pont (Thailand) Limited and Country Manager of
DuPont Vietnam. Mr Montri joined the DuPont Company in 1973 and spent his first ten years
where he held supervisory and management positions in Crop Protection Products (CPP) in
Thailand.
In 1982, he relocated to DuPont Singapore as a Regional Product Specialist and later as
Product Manager - Insecticides for Asia Pacific. He returned to DuPont Thailand in 1985 and
was appointed Marketing Manager for Agricultural Products.
In 1990, he was promoted to Agricultural Products Business leader for Indochina. Four years
later, Mr Montri was appointed General Manager of DuPont Vietnam in addition to his
Agricultural Products Business leader role.
In 1998, he was appointed Managing Director of DuPont Thailand and Country Manager of CPP in
Thailand. Following the integration of DuPont and Pioneer Hi-Bred (Thailand) Co Ltd in 2001,
he became the Managing Director of DuPont Thailand and Business Manager of CPP and Pioneer
in Thailand.
With his in-depth knowledge and experience in agriculture, Mr. Montri has introduced many
crop protection products to the Thai agricultural sector that resulted in significant
increase in agricultural productivity. A significant contribution is in the pineapple
industry where DuPont knowledge and technical know-how have helped establish Thailand as the
world’s largest exporter of canned pineapples.
Mr. Montri has played an important role in introducing and sharing DuPont’s best practices
in safety and environmental protection to the authorities, industries, and the local
communities.
Under his leadership in environmental protection and in reducing environmental footprint,
DuPont Thailand has won the DuPont 2002 Sustainable Growth Excellence Award for a first-ever
recycled crop protection containers project in Thailand.
Prior to joining DuPont, Mr. Montri was a researcher at the Department of Entomology,
Ministry of Agriculture, Thailand.
Mr. Montri graduated from Kasetsart University, Bangkok with a Bachelor of Science degree in
1968 and earned his Master’s degree in Science at Oregon State University, USA in 1972.
In Thailand, he is a member of the Thailand Federation of Industries, the American Chamber
of Commerce, the Advisory Board Committee of Competitiveness and Sustainable Enterprise at
Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy, Chulalongkorn University.
