DuPont is a leading supplier of ingredients such as polyvinyl alcohol (DuPont™ Elvanol® PVOH) and ethylene vinyl acetate copolymers ( Elvax® EVA resins) used by packaging converters in structures requiring assembly.
Aqueous solutions of Elvanol® form excellent binders for paper and in formulated water-soluble adhesives such as used on cardboard tubes. Its film-forming strength is also used in printing and converting for improved paper smoothness, brightness, ink handling and other desired properties.
DuPont™ Elvax® resins also play an important role in formulated hot melt or laminating adhesives used in non-primary packaging such as boxes and displays.
