DuPont™ Crystar® specialty resins are used in the manufacture of polyester films, engineering resins, and fibers, including many specialized applications, such as nonwovens, monofilaments, microdeniers and producer colors.
DuPont tailors Crystar® specialty resins to meet special end-use requirements. The manufacturing process allows DuPont to introduce comonomers and additives to customize many resin properties, including melt and flow points, intrinsic viscosity (IV), color and diethylene glycol (DEG) levels.
Available in clear or white, Crystar® specialty resins exhibit excellent product uniformity, spinning continuity, dyeability and extruder performance, all of which can translate into reduced equipment downtime and lower manufacturing costs, as well as improved yields.
