DuPont reports the installation of a complete plate making system at Triada Flex, Bishkek, making the company one of the first in Kyrgyzstan capable of providing complete flexographic printing services for labels and flexible packaging. 
The system, comprised of an ESKO - CDI Spark 2530 Digital Imager, a Cyrel® FAST 1000TD thermal plate making and a Cyrel® 1000 ECLF exposure and post-exposure system, equips Triada Flex with in-house plate making facilities.

"We visited several printing plants in Russia, Switzerland, and the USA and gathered information at the most recent LabelExpo exhibitions in Brussels and Chicago. We assessed all aspects of the technology and given the issues with solvent based processing in Kyrgyzstan as well as limited sources, we decided that the DuPont system met all of our needs for a complete in-house facility".
The Cyrel® FAST 1000TD uses thermal technology, eliminating chemical solvent or aqueous plate washout steps. At the same time, it increases productivity by reducing total plate production time by 75 percent compared to solvent processing. The DuPont™ Cyrel® 1000 ECLF is a combined unit for exposure, post-exposure and finishing using any Cyrel® photopolymer plates. The Spark 2530 digital imager will enable Triada Flex to produce digital plates up to 635mm (25") x 762mm (30") formats and incorporates a plate loading table and EasyClamp drum to simplify and speed up plate loading.
Established in 2005, Triada Flex is a German-Kyrgyz joint venture and was the first printing company in Kyrgyzstan to offer flexographic printing technology. The company currently supplies high quality packaging to the Central Asian market and is committed to using the latest equipment and high quality raw materials.
"Currently all flexible packaging comes into Kyrgyzstan from China, Ukraine and Russia," said Zlatkin. "The new in-house plate making equipment will strengthen our market position and provide our customers with new, high quality products with the same services and support that we offer from our offset printing plant. We have already signed a wide range of contracts for the production of flexible packaging and self-adhesive labels with some of the largest manufacturers in Kyrgyz. Our first product delivery is scheduled for February of 2007".
