Cyrel® round precision accuracy
Due to the unsurpassed register accuracy of Cyrel® round print forms in conjunction with modern central impression flexo presses, printed results with a stunning brilliance and level of detail are obtained. The precision and reliability also allows the use of design features, which are a no-go with many other print methods. For example small negative text can be employed in a multicolour environment. The excellent line quality allows printing extended text with a reduced font size without sacrificing readability.
The precision of the print form provide this high register accuracy and reliability of ink lay down across the whole web even on wide web presses and from beginning to end and from run to run.

Productivity
Turn around time
With Cyrel® FAST round the production of a complete set of 8 print forms can be accomplished directly from the digital data in less than 2 hours. Eliminating the cumbersome mounting step necessary with printing plates, the high precision and reliability of the Cyrel® round print forms results in short set-up times of the printing press and quick acceptance testing. This leads to the shortest turn around time from design to final package in the industry.
Short runs
Without any mounting effort and, due to the precision of the print form, the short set-up time of the press, Cyrel® round is particularly suited for repetitive shorter runs thus meeting the growing need for just-in-time and just the right quantity production.
Long runs
The close mechanical tolerances of Cyrel® round print forms provide a long life on press and it allows the full exploitation of the speed capabilities of the printing press. Therefore flexo printing can now also be used effectively for very long runs, which so far have been the domain of rotogravure printing.
Print series
Cyrel® round is particularly suited to printing series’ or ranges of designs where there is a common format or size. These could be bottle labels, shrink-sleeves, or snack foods. The press is made ready to accept the print form (Cyrel® round sleeve) by the use of adapters which stay in place for all same size jobs. The Cyrel® round sleeve is produced and mounted onto the adapter, which is on-press, in seconds and in register. There is no need to wait for rotogravure cylinders to be shipped back and forth for re-surface and engraving. Even compared to conventional flexo, there is no mounting department bottleneck. The result is that complete ranges can be ‘on-shelf’ faster improving product launch cycles.

Sustainability
Thermal processing
The high precision in print and the high productivity on press go together with a particularly low environmental footprint. Contrary to conventional solvent processing, thermally processed Cyrel® FAST round sleeves avoid solvent emissions.
This eliminates the energy intensive drying and solvent recovery steps and cuts the energy consumption by more than 50%.
Flexo printing
Employing Cyrel® round allows the choice of flexo printing instead of other printing methods without compromising print quality or productivity. Compared to rotogravure printing’ precision flexo printing with Cyrel® round reduces the environmental foot print with respect to greenhouse gas emissions and the consumption of non-renewable energy by about 50%. The conversion of 1 million m² printed substrate from rotogravure to flexo printing saves the energy equivalent about 102,400 l of gasoline.
