Cyrel® Customer Training Workshops

Cyrel® Basic Training Including Cyrel® FAST

The Cyrel® Basic Training provides basic knowledge about the Cyrel® printing plates system and plate processing.

Basic training (3 days) Following subjects will be covered:

  • Cyrel® System Overview
  • Cyrel® Plate types (product features and benefits)
  • Cyrel® Equipment
  • Basics of digital workflow
  • Cyrel® Plates storage and handling
  • Different processing steps and basic test
  • Cyrel® washout solvents
  • Plate room safety
  • Requirements/Specifications of film negatives
  • Calculation of elongation factor
  • Trouble shooting

To assure maximum effectiveness and to have enough room for "hands-on" work, the number of participants per session is min 4, max 8 persons.

The 3-days training starts on Tuesday morning and will be finished on Thursday around lunch time. As the training starts on Tuesday at 9.00 a.m. the participants should arrive on Monday late afternoon or evening. The departure should not be scheduled prior to 4.00 pm on Thursday afternoon.

The course value is 680,00 Euro per person.

Advanced Cyrel® FAST Workshop (digital and analog) for Experienced Plate-Operators

This training will take 1 day.

The course value is 350,00 Euro per person.

Cyrel® Advanced / Refresher Training

Our Cyrel® Advanced Training offers to our customers the opportunity to refresh and extend the knowledge of their employees. The content of the training will be composed according to the individual requirements of our customers.

The following topics can be covered:

  • Trouble shooting (Customers are welcome to bring their own problem plates)
  • Cyrel® alternative solvents
  • CyFOS-Cyrel® Flexo Optimisation System
  • Cyrel® Digital Imager – Digital Workflow of flexo plate making
  • Cyrel® Thin-plate-technology
  • Microflex mounting system
  • Cyrel® FAST Technology
  • Cyrel® round sleeves
  • CyComp for the corrugated board market
  • Individual customer requirements

The Refresher Training is held on request.

Dates: 4-6 weeks after request.

Training time: Dependent on the required content 1-2 days.

The course value is 800,00 Euro per day.

Cyrel® CtP Seminar

The Cyrel® CtP Seminar is designed for users of Computer-to-Plate systems and does provide important background information about digital imaging and processing to the key person. Knowing about these facts is imperative for archieving optimum quality in printing plates and structuring the digital workflow in a suitable and contemporary way.

This course covers:

  • The Basics of Prepress – A brief introduction to electronic prepress and its terminology
  • Fundamentals of Lasers and Platesetters – How do they work?
  • Digital Cyrel® Plates – LAMS, Photopolymer, Dot Sharpening, etc.
  • Start-up of a Cyrel® Digital Imager – What are we doing and why?
  • The ideal data-workflow - Where are the differences and how do you get the optimum quality?
  • Test- and Quality control procedures - The easy way to control.
  • Latest updates on how to handle platesetter calibration and dot gain compensation
  • Necessary background information - not only for CtP!
  • The CtP platemaking process – A hands-on workshop
  • Handling CtP printing samples in platemaking and printing
  • Proof printing on a modern flexopress - Which parameters are relevant?
