Comments Mr. Vitaly Klochkov, head of plate making for the department of design and pre-press at Gotek CPU: "The new CDI Spark XT 4835 system makes plate making around three times more efficient than with previous equipment. Laser resolution is almost ten times higher while power consumption is four times less. The main advantages of the CDI Spark XT 4835 imager are in the opportunities it presents for operation in both large and small formats".
The ESKO CDI Spark 4835 permits the manufacture of flexographic photopolymer plates up to 1200 mm (35.4") lengths х 900 mm (47.2") widths and is optimised for plate makers, flexible packaging, label and folding carton printers. Features include reliable high speed fibre laser with multi-beam optics and integrated plate loading table.
Adds Klochkov: "The reliability, simplicity of construction, high output potential, user friendly software and full automation significantly reduce human error and provide consistent quality. These features also considerably reduce order preparation. The technology has allowed us to reduce a manufacturing turn around time of seven to ten days down to one or two days even for the most complex designs. This permits us to increase customer satisfaction while reducing production time and increasing plate quality. Another highly positive effect of this increase in productivity is the significant reduction in the length of production cycles. This does not simply offer savings in time at the pre-production stage of an order, but the quality and design of the equipment considerably reduces the time required for the entire process."
