Package Description

Amcor "SureFresh" crate 
 Amcor’s “SureFresh” crate design for retail fruit and vegetable packing and display provides a strong, economical fiber-based alternative to plastic crates and wax-impregnated cartons. A strong PET/Kraft liner reduces fiber content and simplifies manufacture of a cushioned, corrugated carton. Pre- and post-printing processes are eliminated by using a pigmented polymer tie-layer. The resulting structure provides high strength in extreme moisture environments, while allowing the cartons to be recycled in the existing paper streams as opposed to wax and EPS alternatives. The technology also allows for higher quality graphics versus conventional packaging, by integrating lightweight printed films into corrugated carton formats.

The design enables higher shipping density (more packs per pallet) versus alternative crates, for further cost savings in transport and distribution.
