Why does DuPont offer such a variety of training suits?
DuPont offers a variety of training suits to better meet individual training requirements. Factors to consider - budget, number of trainees and length of the training, garments similar to the operational ensembles, the training environment, and the physical effects of wearing a totally-encapsulating suit. For short term, low impact training, the CPF® 1 training suit is an inexpensive, lightweight alternative. For training with suits similar in color, fabric, weight and design to operational equipment, consider the Commander® and Responder® training suits or if the operational suits are reuseable, the PVC training suit. For long duration training or rugged training environments, the PVC and Cordura® training suits may be ideal because of their durability and ability to be easily laundered for re-use. In hot, humid training environments, the Cordura® training suit teaches many of the physical aspects of wearing a totally encapsulating suit while reducing some of the risk of heat related issues.
