Products
Will the products stay the same during the transition?
There will be an initial transition period, during which we have no plans to change specific products. This transition period is expected to last through much of 2008. If product lines change after this transition period, DuPont will communicate the changes in advance to allow reasonable time for customers move into the new garment lines.
How will the product lines combine or change after the transition?
We are currently in the process of accessing the full portfolio and understanding where there are gaps, overlaps or products that may need to be changed. We expect to continue this process through much of 2008. In the meantime, both the current DuPont and acquired Cardinal product lines will remain unchanged.
The claims seem to have changed. Did DuPont change the products or their performance?
No. The products and their performance have not changed, but DuPont has modified claims to the most current standards. In that process, we have eliminated claims that are based on outdated or nonexistent standards, as well as clarify claims.
Can the Cardinal products be used in environments other than controlled environments?
These garments can be used in a variety of industrial applications. DuPont garments are not qualified for use as a medical device, as defined by the FDA. Check with your distributor or DuPont representative to discuss your specific needs.
Do you offer sterile and non-sterile products?
Yes. Many products are available in sterile, non-sterile cleanroom and general use versions. Please review the product catalogs (link to catalog area) for additional information on products.
Will products continue to be ISO13485 certified?
The inventory produced by Cardinal prior to closing will continue to be certified. We are currently investigating future certification needs.
