Solamet® Metallization Materials

DuPont™ Solamet® offers a comprehensive system of thick-film materials used in the construction of photovoltaic (solar) cells.

The DuPont™ Solamet® PV series is a specialty system of conductor compositions for the back-side and front-side of silicon photovoltaic cells. Our compositions offer advantages in efficiency and reliability, enabling more advanced and efficient solar cells to be constructed.

DuPont™ Solamet® improves power output by providing state of the art, low resistance electrical contact to SiNx ARC coated solar cells to extract the full benefit of the more popular SiNx process.

 
Front-side Conductors

Selection of the correct front-side conductor composition can be complex, as system performance is sensitive to the cell structure, the Anti-Reflective Coating (ARC), and the firing profile.

Selection of the correct back-side paste is complicated by the front-side silver paste used, since the two are co-fired.
