Solamet® PV17x Series Helps Set New Standard for Solar Cell Efficiency
DuPont offers a new series of frontside silver photovoltaic metallization pastes to deliver advanced efficiency and adhesion for solar cells. DuPont™ Solamet® PV17x series photovoltaic metallizations also will enable higher process reliability and yield for both cell and module manufacturers. Compatible with LDE (Lightly Doped Emitter) profiles, high-speed printing processes, and featuring improved contact and grid resistance.

Cell manufacturers can expect to achieve 50 to 70 micron finger line widths at high print speeds. Solamet® PV17x exhibits exceptional solderability and adhesion which enables reliable use in the highly automated tabbing and stringing processes used by module makers.

DuPont™ Solamet® metallization pastes for double-printing maximize efficiency of the cell by enabling narrower and taller grid lines to be precisely printed in two or more layers, reducing the shadowing effect of wide grid lines on solar cells and improving electrical conductivity.
