Collaboration—the key to success

Innovation is the lifeblood of many industries... it has to be. With the modern end user—both consumer and commercial—being challenged with so many choices, companies have to remain agile enough to either keep up with the very latest demands and trends or, even better, create the next market sensation.
The last decade has seen a paradigm shift in the way that companies operate, with many production-oriented organizations relocating their manufacturing and fabrication operations to countries where labor-related costs are lower.
For some companies however, relocation is just not an option, and productivity improvements have to be made at the same location through greater efficiency and enhanced reliability. This is where we step in!

Process efficiency coupled with product quality is neatly addressed in the article that discusses our DuPont™ Viton® FreeFlow™ technology, which is used in the processing of polyolefin polymers, such as linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE), or high-density polyethylene (HDPE), including single-site technology polyethylene type polymers. Besides countering melt fracture—resulting in clearer, higher quality films—the Viton® additives can also significantly improve efficiency of the extrusion process by lowering friction and reducing polymer build-up at the die interface. The end result being enhanced efficiency through longer production runs, lower maintenance and reduced costs.
One of the most demanding industries in the world is also one of the biggest users of DuPont materials... and for very good reasons. The oil and gas feature looks at the unique challenges presented to us by this industry and pays particular attention to DuPont™ Kalrez® perfluoroelastomer parts, DuPont™ Vespel® polyimide, DuPont™ Viton® fluoroelastomer, DuPont™ Hytrel® TPC-ET and DuPont™ Pipelon® polymeric pipe solutions.
