DuPont™ Vespel® parts and shapes business received the 2007 Quality Supplier of the Year award from American Mitsuba for consistent supply of defect free parts.

“American Mitsuba sets exceptionally high-quality standards. The drive to become one of their best suppliers has also helped us become a significantly better company as well,” said James Francis, DuPont™ Vespel® Automotive sales manager – North America. “DuPont™ Vespel® was honored for its outstanding performance in supplying millions and millions of thrust plugs and thrust washers for window lift motors. These DuPont™ Vespel® parts permit American Mitsuba to meet FMVSS (federal motor vehicle safety standard) requirements while keeping overall system costs low.”

Francis accepted the award from Toshifumi Kohno, American Mitsuba president and CEO, in a ceremony in Fort Wayne, Ind.
