The family of Zytel® Long Chain Polyamides (LCPA) provide flexible solutions where both superior chemical and hydrolysis resistance are required. The Zytel® LCPA product line includes PA1010, PA610 and PA612 to cover a wide range of stiffness and toughness.
PA1010 offers properties typical of flexible polyamides and additional benefits such as high temperature resistance and lower permeability to fuel and gases.
PA610 and PA612 are flexible polyamides with higher melting temperature and mechanical properties. These polymers are available in high stiffness and high strength with glass reinforced grades.
Performance characteristics for the entire Zytel® LCPA family are detailed in the table below. The newest grades are with the 4000 and 7000 series. Some of these polymers can be entirely or partially derived from renewable sources.
