Fillers such as glass fiber, minerals or flame retardants can increase the service level and value-in-use of plastic resins. Coupling agents promote adhesion and aid in filler wetting and disperson.
Colors (and other additives) are often managed using "master batches" or "carrier resins" that can be incorporated into other plastics. Because of their excellent thermal stability, broadly compatible Elvaloy® AC resins can be used as carrier resins in conventional and high-temperature systems.
