DuPont™ Pool Care Calcium Hardness Increaser

Usually, there is no need to adjust calcium hardness on a monthly basis since calcium levels are established at start-up. It is best to monitor calcium hardness monthly, and if levels fall below the acceptable range of 200-400 ppm, add DuPont™ Pool Care Calcium Hardness Increaser.
DuPont™ Pool Care pH Increaser

Although you should test pH levels each week to track any changes, you’ll usually only need to adjust it monthly. pH levels should be maintained between 7.2 to 7.6. Add pH increaser as needed to raise pH to the proper levels. Since alkalinity affects pH, always adjust the total alkalinity first. Once the alkalinity is in the acceptable range, it's best to wait 24 hours, then re-test pH levels to determine if a pH adjustment is actually needed.

Total alkalinity acts as a buffer to hold the pH level in the proper range. Though you should measure levels weekly, usually only a monthly adjustment is needed to keep alkalinity in the proper range of 100-150 ppm.

Metal Remover reduces the concentration of metal ions in your pool and can prevent staining. If copper is detected while testing with your Monthly Test Strip, add a dose of 32 oz per 10,000 gallons to remove metals and prevent staining. We also recommend that you add a preventative dose of 16 oz per 10,000 gallons once a month.

Test your pool each month using a DuPont™ Pool Care Monthly Test Strip, which measures all the same levels you measure weekly, plus copper and calcium hardness levels – which should be monitored monthly. This strip also contains a test pad for sanitizer stabilizer, which is added when you open your pool. Make sure to record your results in the Pool Maintenance Log in the back of your DuPont Pool Care User Guide, so you can track the way your water changes.
