Why high temperature coatings?
Continuous exposure to high heat temperatures affects standard coatings performance and delamination, craking and loss gloss will appear.
DuPont Powder Coatings has recently introduced coatings which perform in the 500°-1000°F range required for barbecue, muffler and stove coatings. Ongoing research is providing improvements in powder handling and transfer efficient.
Stove and exhaust system coatings:
(For use between 800° - 1000°F)
- Pipe Black, SSB603H1
- Exhaust Black, SSB610H0
Coatings for barbecue grills:
(For use between 600°- 800°F)
- Barbecue Black, SSB604H1
- High Heat Black, SFB605H0
Colors available upon request (e.g. red, blue, green, and beige)
Standard high-temperature coatings:
(For use up to 550°F)
- Smooth Black, SSB602S2
- Smooth Black CG, SSB611H2
- Hearth Black, SSB609H0
