The Coatings and Varnishes’ Producer Śnieżka S.A., one of the biggest Polish players, and the science company DuPont announce today the signature of a trademark licensing agreement. As a result, Śnieżka will be entitled to use the DuPontTM Teflon® brand on their products sold in Poland, Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova and Kaliningrad.
Teflon® surface protector will be integrated in the Śnieżka’s wide range of products, namely the enamel paints MAX and Barwy Natury, the primer enamel Śnieżka na Rdzę, as well as the wood protectors Drewkorn and Lakierobejca.
Teflon® surface protector, initialy applied mostly in the kitchenware, machinery & chemical industry, is now broadly used in the apparel, textile & household products and coatings. Teflon® surface protector combines unique chemical and physical features and creates non-stick surfaces resistant to scratch, more durable and easy to clean. Before being introduced on the market, all Teflon® branded coatings were tested at the Haskell Laboratory and by the Food and Drug Administration Agency to ensure the highest quality standards and safety for end-users.
“The cooperation between Śnieżka and DuPont resulted in the integration of Teflon® surface protector in our products”, says Piotr Mikrut – Śnieżka’s CEO. “Thanks to that we, as the only company in Poland, Belarus and Ukraine, will offer coatings based on the worldwide recognised technology. This gives us a big competitive advantage.”
“Thanks to the relationship with Śnieżka, growing so fast in Central and Eastern Europe, DuPont is able to provide the most advanced technologies to its customers”, adds James V. Forte, Global Brand & IP Licensing Manager DuPont Titanium Technologies.
