"Do I need to clean the scratch before I make the repair?"
Yes, we suggest using an automotive grade car wash detergent.  Clean the scratch and then make sure it is dry with a lint free cloth.

"Can I use this product on other painted surfaces such as fiberglass?"
The DuPont™ Pro-Fusion Color™ Scratch Repair Stick is only recommended for use on automotive paint surfaces.

"Do I need to buy a different color for each car that I have?"
No, the DuPont™ Pro-Fusion Color™ Scratch Repair Stick works on the clear coat of all cars to seal in the scratch protecting the car's finish against rust and grime. 

"Will the tip of the stick go hard?"
Once you have completed your repair, you must re-snap the cap back in place securely.  This will prevent the tip from drying out.

"How long does the product take to dry?"
The time it takes for the formula to harden depends upon a whole variety of external factors such as temperature, wind, etc.  We recommend that you leave the product to harden for up to 30 minutes.

"Should I remove any excess product from the car surfaces?"
Yes, once you have applied the DuPont™ Pro-Fusion Color™ Scratch Repair Stick, quickly remove any excess with a clean dry cloth.

"Do I need to leave the repair in the sunlight in order for the repair to harden?"
No, unlike other products on the market, DuPont™ Pro-Fusion Color™ Scratch Repair Stick is activated by a solvent process.  It will harden outside, or inside your garage.

"In case I make a mistake in applying the product, and I want to remove it after it has hardened, how can I remove it?"
In the unlikely event event that this happens, you are able to remove DuPont™ Pro-Fusion Color™ Scratch Repair Stick with the use of xylene*, which can be found at most good hardware stores.

"Do I need to clean my car before I apply the wax?"
Yes, we suggest using an automotive grade car was detergent.  Clean the car thoroughly and then make sure it is dry with a lint free cloth.

"Can I use this product on other painted surfaces such as fiberglass?"
The DuPont™ Pro-Fusion Color™ Car Polish is recommended for use on automotive paint surfaces, however if you wish to use it on another surface, test it in an inconspicuous area first to see that it will work for you before applying it on the full surface.

"Do I need to buy a different color for each car that I have?"
DuPont™ Pro-Fusion Color™ Car Polish is color specific to the color of your car, so yes, you will need to purchase the color polish that matches your car's color.

"Why is this polish different from the other brands?"
The DuPont™ Pro-Fusion Color™ Car Polish is different from other car polishes because it contains color pigments that attach to the car surface and enhance the color to a like-new shine.

"How long does the product take to apply?"
The process is very easy, simply wipe the product onto the clean dry surface, leave it to dry for 1 minute, and then wipe off in a polishing motion.  You can even use this formula in the sunlight.

"Will the color pigments stain my trim?"
No, the DuPont™ Pro-Fusion Color™ Car Polish is specially formulated not to stain trim.

"Does the polish leave a white residue on the trim of my car?"
No, the DuPont™ Pro-Fusion Color™ Car Polish is specially formulated not to stain trim.

"What are scratch & swirl marks?"
Scratch & swirl marks are tiny abrasions in your car's finish that look like a spider's web embedded in your paintwork.  You can usually see these in the sunlight.  DuPont™ Pro-Fusion Color™ Car Polish is specially formulated to fill in these marks and reduce the spider's web effect, making your car's color finish and shine look like a showroom finish.
