DuPont™ Solumax® soluble granules are a unique, patented technology that produces dry herbicides that act like a liquid when mixed with water. DuPont has applied this technology to many of our sulfonylurea (SU) herbicides, giving you the compact, easy to handle benefits of a dry herbicide along with the easy mixing and tank cleanout of a liquid. That means fast and easy sprayer cleanout, lower risk to subsequently sprayed crops and consistent, powerful weed control.
Unlike older dry flowable (DF) herbicides that go into suspension in water, herbicides that are Powered by Solumax® dissolve completely in a clear solution.
Easier tank clean-out
Because Solumax® soluble granules fully dissolve into solution, product won’t settle-out in the spray tank. It’s easier and faster to clean out of the tank. Less active adheres to the sides of the tank and particles won’t clog nozzles or become trapped in filters or other pinch points.
In tests, tank clean-out times were reduced by up to 70 percent compared to the time taken for a DF herbicide. The improved solubility provided by Solumax® also means less water is required to thoroughly clean the tank.

Lower risk to sensitive crops
Because it is easier to remove product residue from the tank, the potential impact to subsequently sprayed crops like peas or canola is minimized.
Consistent weed control
Solumax® increases the bioavailability of the active ingredient to the plant. The active is rapidly absorbed into the plant, which provides fast, effective and consistent weed control. This technology is now available in a large number of DuPont products, offering a broad spectrum of weed control that is highly compatible with other tank-mix partners.
