Challenges such as spring weather and weed resistance can make broadleaf weed control in soybeans a hit-or-miss proposition – unless growers begin with a foundation of DuPont™ Canopy® herbicide.Canopy® delivers burndown plus residual activity to help maximize early-season control of tough weeds, allowing the postemergence application to be made closer to canopy; two modes of action to help prevent and manage weed resistance, such as glyphosate-tolerant Palmer pigweed and marestail; and reliable burndown of winter annuals and early season weeds, even under cool conditions, for a wide application window. Canopy® herbicide combines two active ingredients, each with a distinct mode of action, for control of a broad spectrum of weeds – even many that are glyphosate-resistant. Canopy® performs well in one- or two-pass programs under any type of tillage. Use Canopy® alone or tank mixed with grass products such as DuPont™ Cinch® herbicide or other products labeled for soybeans. It can be applied up to 45 days before planting under minimum tillage or at planting under conventional tillage. Growers also have the option to control late season flushes of tough broadleaf weeds by applying a post-emergence product such as DuPont™ Classic®, Harmony® SG with TotalSol® or Synchrony® XP herbicide. These products can be tank mixed with glyphosate in glyphosate-tolerant soybeans or tank mixed with Ignite in LibertyLink soybeans. Start the season with a clean slate with Canopy® to maximize yield potential by managing early-season weed competition.
