DuPont™ Assure® II herbicide and Asana® XL insecticide already are valuable production tools for growers of canola, chickpeas (garbanzo beans), crambe, dry beans, dry and succulent peas, and dry lentils. And now, the DuPont™ Crop Protection Plus®* program also makes them an effective management tool against destructive weather. Crop Protection Plus® is a product cost-replacement program from DuPont for growers in Colorado, Idaho, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington and Wyoming. If growers purchase and apply Assure® II and/or Asana® XL to a qualifying crop, and that crop is destroyed by drought, frost, freeze, flood, hail or fire, DuPont will provide product cost-replacement credit at the local retailer where the product was purchased. This credit will be in the amount of the in-season purchase used to treat the lost area. The credit may be applied to purchases of DuPont product the next season or the following year. This program is a pleasant change for growers who are used to filling out long, complicated enrollment forms.
