DuPont sponsors Ft. Pierce, Fla. IFAS grower meeting
DuPont Crop Protection is proud to report the recent sponsorship of a University of Florida/IFAS Citrus Research Team grower meeting on March 7, 2006. The meeting, which was held in Ft. Pierce, Fla., unveiled some of the initial plans of the Best Management Systems for managing their groves with canker and greening. The thrush behind living with canker is getting the trees as healthy as possible.
The informational meeting provided management information to over 60 citrus growers. Cam Hanna, DuPont district sales manager, highlighted disease management practices and programs from DuPont, which include the use of DuPont™ Kocide® 2000 fungicide.
Kocide® 2000 also participates in the FFVA Partners in Production program. Every sale of Kocide® 2000 kicks off a donation to fund Florida-specific research. This program has accomplished a great deal over the past decade now, more than ever, research needs to be continued to find new, innovative solutions to the many issues that face Florida agriculture.
