DuPont™ AirGuard, 120gr/m², (Sd > 200 meter), 100% air tight vapour control layer with a very low emissivity surface which significantly boosts the thermal insulation in the building.

DuPont™ AirGuard, has been specifically developed for use as a reflective air leakage barrier. Its use is particularly applicable in “vapour open” wall construction where external layers are of low vapour resistance.

Installing DuPont™ AirGuard as a part of  the internal lining will help to reduce the rate of heat loss through the building fabric by convection. The objective is to provide a continuous barrier to air movement around the habitable space that is in contact with the inside of the thermal insulation layer.

The additional thermal resistance provided by the reflective membrane will contribute to maximize the energy efficiency of the building. When DuPont™ AirGuard is used with a wall service cavity the thermal resistance of the cavity is increased to 0,67m²K/W.
