DuPont™ Advion® Ant Gel Receives Florida Registration

Florida PMPs Will Gain Reliable Control of Multiple Ant Species with Advion® Ant Gel’s New Chemistry and Novel Mode of Action

WILMINGTON, Del., Oct. 26, 2007 – DuPont Professional Products today announced that DuPont™ Advion® ant gel is now registered for use in Florida.  As the first novel chemistry in the ant gel market in years, Advion® ant gel will provide Florida pest management professionals (PMPs) with consistent, broad-spectrum control of multiple ant species including all key sweet feeders, plus carpenter ants and many others.  In addition, the new ant gel has proven in formulation testing to retain its viscosity under hot weather conditions. 

Florida is home to many of the most troublesome U.S. pest ants, including: odorous house, argentine, crazy, pharaoh, and ghost ant species.  The DuPont™ Advion® ant gel, with its unique chemistry, has proven in extensive testing to consistently control all these pest ant species.  Powered by the MetaActive™ compound, Advion® ant gel leverages the ant’s own enzymes to provide total colony control, even when multiple queens are present.  Its strong attractant formulation outperforms other baits in consumption tests and will ensure PMPs gain broad spectrum control.  Combined with proven performance and a unique mode of action, Advion® ant gel has an excellent toxicological profile and has been registered by EPA under its Reduced Risk Program.
