Stops feeding within hours of exposure.
Laboratory and field studies prove that 
termites quickly acquire a lethal dose of Altriset® as they tunnel through a treated zone*. And since it’s non-repellent, termites don’t know to avoid it. After contacting treated soil, their mouthparts become paralyzed, allowing your customers to rest assured that damage will cease shortly after a soil application.
Increased aggregation means timely control.
But Altriset® doesn’t stop there. Since it is a delayed toxicant, the exposed termites that have stopped feeding can still walk, groom and aggregate in groups for an extended period of time. Aggregation increases chances of mutual grooming and body-to-body contact. These post-exposure behavior and interactions enhance Altriset® spread among colony members.
Timely control that lasts.
Based on observations during laboratory testing, termites become lethargic and show signs of muscle paralysis and decreased coordination in the last stage after exposure to Altriset®. Mortality will ultimately occur within several days. The chart on the left indicates that when non-exposed (recipients) termite workers of R. hesperus were put together with exposed termites (donors), 100% mortality of both exposed and unexposed groups was observed within
7 days.
