It does, if your technology is the new BAX® System Real-Time PCR Assay for E. coli O157:H7. Developed in collaboration with the USDA Agricultural Research Service and validated on real-world sample sizes, this extremely reliable and highly accurate assay has been certified by the AOAC Research Institute as Performance Tested Method 031002 for E. coli O157:H7 detection in raw ground beef, beef trim, lettuce and spinach.

This new assay incorporates Scorpion® probes for advanced real-time PCR technology that delivers superior sensitivity and specificity so you can accurately detect all known E. coli O157:H7 -- even atypical isolates.
