Häns Kissle Wins 11th Annual Food Quality Award
Award Presented at Ceremony and Reception Hosted by DuPont Nutrition & Health
Häns Kissle Company, LLC of Haverhill, Mass., was recently honored as winner of the 11th annual Food Quality Award at a reception attended by almost 300 food industry professionals during the Food Safety & Security Summit in Washington, D.C.
Sponsored by DuPont Nutrition & Health and presented by Food Quality magazine, the Food Quality Award is given each year to a North American QA/QC department or program that has made significant improvements in food safety and quality, with a positive impact on business results. Häns Kissle was selected for this year’s award due to the quantifiable results it has achieved in meeting its goal of producing high-quality food in a sustainable environment, including technology improvements that reduced energy consumption by 15 percent and extensive training that produced 25 percent fewer distribution errors and 19 percent fewer customer complaints.

Opening the ceremony was a keynote address by Cloeann Durham, corporate quality assurance manager at Coca-Cola Bottling Company Consolidated, who shared insights on closing the gaps in food safety through training and education.
Ken Potuznik, associate publisher of Food Quality magazine and Megan DeStefano co-presented the Food Quality Award to Robin Beane, director of operations, and Ken Venti, CEO, who accepted on behalf of Häns Kissle.
