How do I know/what do I look for to determine if it is authentic DuPont™ Freon® 22?
There are multiple elements to the DuPont™ Izon® security label that can help identify counterfeit material. Count the dots: one of the left, two on the right, three on the top, and four on the bottom of the Izon® label to help determine if the R-22 is a genuine DuPont product. If you are uncertain, we have a dedicated resource that can help walk you through the validation process.
Is this a U.S. effort or is it global?
This effort began in China approximately one year ago. This program has been well-received by our customers. The DuPont Refrigerants Brand Assurance Program is a global initiative.
Is this an industry effort or DuPont only?
DuPont is taking a leadership position in the industry by aggressively combating counterfeit goods. We are the first in the industry to adopt this technology. The DuPont™ Izon® 3D hologram anti-counterfeit security labels have been developed using proprietary DuPont technology.
